Description:
Our projects cover a diverse range of work including, health, education and many others.  Typical procurement options used include traditional, design and build along with construction management.  Our projects include small works scheme through to projects in order of £40m on a nationwide basis.

 

We require applicants from ambitions individuals looking to demonstrate their potential.  You should be either an Assistant Quantity Surveyor currently on day release of a Junior Quantity Surveyor with at least some years experience who is looking to further their career.

 

Excellent support is given including day release and support with course fees.

Summary of Employment Benefits

 

1. 25 days annual leave – (includes period between Christmas and new year )

 

2. 50% of Course/Exam fees paid by Practice.  Remainder payable through 12 month interest free loan.

 

3. Professional subscriptions paid.

 

4.Discretionary annual bonus scheme – based on a minimum of twelve months service at 28th February (the financial year end) and Practice performance in the financial year. Payable in June each year if appropriate.

 

5.Contributory Pension Scheme.  Employer contributes 6.2%, employee a minimum of 3%. AVCs can be paid if desired. Eligible to join at scheme anniversary 1st July but membership is not obligatory.

 

6. Permanent Health Insurance – non-contributory. Eligible to join at scheme anniversary 1st May. This scheme will pay an income equivalent to 75% of salary less state incapacity benefit from week 14 of illness until return to work, ‘normal’ retirement age reached (65) or death – which ever occurs first.

 

7. Critical Illness Insurance – non-contributory. Only available as part of Pension scheme membership. This policy will pay a lump sum equivalent to one year’s pay on diagnosis of a critical illness and survival at least two weeks from diagnosis.

 

8. Death in Service Benefit – non-contributory. Only available as part of Pension scheme membership. This policy will provide a lump sum payment equivalent to twice annual salary in the event of death whilst an employee of the Practice.

 

9. Spouses’ Pensions – non-contributory. Only available as part of Pension scheme membership. This policy provides a spouse’s pension equivalent to 25% of salary.

 

10. Regular CPD will be provided which would expect all employees to attend and retain accurate CPD records

 

11. Investors in People.  Regular reviews and training needs identified.

 

12. 36 ¼ hour working week with limited flexibility.
